Johnson, a defensive lineman from Toombs County High School in Lyons, Georgia, is scheduled to visit Ohio State for Saturday's Maryland game.

Edwards, a four-star athlete from Tyner Academy in Chattanooga, Tennessee, picked up an Ohio State offer.
Program News
Jeremiah Smith set Ohio State career records for receptions (207) and receiving touchdowns (36) in the win at Iowa, finishing with 11 catches for 206 yards and two touchdowns. He now has 3,381 career receiving yards and earned Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week honors.
Malcolm Jenkins, the 2008 Thorpe Award winner, will serve as the Bell Ringer for Saturday's game, Ohio State announced. He is the fourth Bell Ringer of the 2026 season.
Saturday's Homecoming game is at Ohio Stadium. Ohio State leads the all-time series with Maryland 9-0, including 5-0 in Columbus. Ohio State is 2-0 in Big Ten play and Maryland is 0-2.
What to Watch For
Jeremiah Smith's record chase.
Per Ohio State's game notes, Smith needs 408 receiving yards and four touchdown catches to break the Big Ten career records. The touchdown mark is Braylon Edwards' 39. Ohio State says a 100-yard game Saturday would be his 16th and pass Marvin Harrison Jr. for the most in program history.
Maryland's defensive line.
Luke Montgomery, Offensive Line, on Tuesday: "I do think they're the best Dline we've played this year."
Maryland's speed and tempo.
Ryan Day, Head Coach, on Wednesday: "a team that's going to run a lot of tempo. Uh has a lot of speed, has a lot of size."
Phil Daniels' return.
Day was asked Tuesday about Phil Daniels' status for Maryland. Ryan Day, Head Coach: "we're anxious to get Phil back."
